Genting Group Resource Centre (Library)

The establishment of the MIM Library serves to provide members of MIM with a place for research and study. Our vast collection of management-related resources should facilitate the needs of MIM members in relation to their career development and enhancement.

Library resources consist of management references that range from economics, finance, human resources, marketing to motivational readings, popular foreign and local magazines.

The library has been given the privilege to be named the Genting Group Resource Centre (GGRC). The timely contribution by one of the most prominent and leading companies in Malaysia has been used to create a more conducive and stimulating environment to complement the Institute's main activities for the continuing education, training and development of the Malaysian workforce in general and for students of MIM. The GGRC is exclusive for members of MIM.

Members can have access to a comprehensive collection of:
  • 14,000 titles in all aspects of management arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme
  • Newspaper cuttings of selected topics
  • Videotapes on management issues
  • Audio cassettes from Personal Development to General Management; and
  • A variety of local and foreign journals and magazines (e.g: Harvard Business Review, Fortune etc..)
Some services available include:
  • Access to the MIM Global Village - Intranet of the Institute that connects members to the GGRC and allows searches for:
    - Book titles
    - Newspaper articles
    - Malaysian Managemenr Review articles
    - MIM Speaks - articles by MIM featured in a local newspaper
    - Access to online databases subscribed by the GGRC
  • Borrowing of library book and audio cassettes
  • Delivery of books to outstation members upon request
  • Renewing/Reserving of books via telephone
  • GGRC New Acquisitions - list of new books acquired by the MIM Library; and
  • Special Privilege for MIM Students ONLY!- Eligibility to borrow extra books, access to digital theses and information request.

The GGRC is well equipped with facilities such as:

  • Computer terminals with internet access
  • Study and discussion areas
  • Audio-visual equipment
  • Self-service photocopier
  • Lockers
